
AJ Brown has revealed he kept a New England Patriots rug in his house for years, including during his time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The wide receiver made the admission while speaking to Maria Taylor after completing his move to New England.
Brown explained that the Patriots have always been the team he supported growing up, despite spending the past four seasons in Philadelphia.

Speaking to Maria Taylor, Brown revealed he had a Patriots rug in his home even while playing for the Eagles.
He said: “This is my team. This is my team since I was a kid. I was doing what I was supposed to be doing with the Eagles, but this is it.”
The comments offer further insight into Brown’s long-standing connection to New England following his arrival with the franchise.
Brown’s revelation quickly attracted attention across social media, with fans reacting to the fact he had Patriots merchandise in his home throughout his Eagles tenure.
Patriots completed major trade for Brown
Brown’s remarks came shortly after news broke that the Patriots had acquired him from the Eagles.
According to Ari Meirov, New England sent Philadelphia a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to complete the deal.
The trade also reunites Brown with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, who previously worked with the receiver during their time together with the Tennessee Titans.
Brown spent four seasons with the Eagles after arriving from Tennessee in 2022, establishing himself as one of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers during his time in Philadelphia.
Now, the 29-year-old begins the next chapter of his career with the franchise he says has been his team since childhood.
