MANILA, Philippines — Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala rolled to a career-best top 20 in the WTA live rankings following her Mubadala D.C. Open conquest in Washington early Tuesday in Manila.
Capturing her first 500-tier tournament title with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 win over world No. 3 Jessica Pegula, Eala raised her total ranking points from 1,666 last week to 2,106.
Eala is officially ranked No. 28 as of writing.
