It’s been a month and a half now since AMD announced their brand new Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor at Computex 2026, and it’s now finally available for purchase, with a recommended price tag of USD329 (~RM1,342.48).
The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D won’t be winning performance or benchamarking awards anytime soon of course, but that was never the goal with the Ryzen 7 7700X3D. Instead, it’s basically meant to be the new budget gaming option for gamers building a new AM5-based rig, and appears to be a binned down version of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
The Ryzen 7 7700X3D itself packs eight Zen 4 cores with 16 threads running at a base speed of 4.0GHz and boost speeds of up to 4.5GHz. It comes with a total of 104MB of L2 and L3 cache, as well as a rated 120W TDP.
AMD for their part highlights the Ryzen 7 700X3D as their most accessible AM5 processor offering AMD 3D V-Cache gaming performance, though whether or not gamers will choose to save a little or continue getting the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will likely depend on what’s actually in stock at your local system integrator.
