MANILA, Philippines — Capital 1 Solar Spikers eked out a thrilling five-set win over crowd-favorited Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 25-21, 18-25, 25-18, 19-25, 15-10, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City Tuesday.
Bella Belen scored a career-best performance 29 points on 25 attacks, two blocks, and two aces, complemented with 15 excellent digs to lift her squad to victory over the Flying Titans.
The super rookie, who missed Monday's PSA Awards Night due to illness, accepted the Ms. Volleyball award on court handed by PVL Press Corps president Lance Agcaoili and other officers.
The top pick stayed cool against Choco Mucho's loud crowd, trading blows with Sisi Rondina to score five key points in the fifth set.
“We just keep working, and I told my teammates to hold on and just be patient, especially in the fifth set. We’re very happy that we won,” Belen said in Filipino.
This is the third time that Belen reset her career-high in the PVL after nailing 26 points in a win over ZUS, and 28 points in a loss against PLDT—all in the same conference.
The Solar Spikers capitalized on the Eya Laure-less Flying Titans, mounting 10 blocks in the match. Choco Mucho was led by Rondina’s double-double outing of 22 points and 11 excellent digs. Kat Tolentino made 19 points, while Des Cheng added 15 markers.
Capital 1 improved to 2-2 while Choco Mucho fell to 1-3.
