RANAU: A boy was injured while eight vehicles were destroyed in a house fire that occurred near here on Thursday morning.

Ranau Fire Station Head Ridwan Bin Mohd Taib said the incident occurred in Kg Rapak Ranau at about 10.50 am.

Advertisement“A call was received via the MERS999 line at 11.01am and a group of eight firemen led by myself and Operations Commander Mastin Bin Suli rushed to the location.

“Upon arriving at the scene, which was located 3 kilometres from the station, we found a fire involving a semi-permanent two-storey house measuring 40x40 feet, 100% burnt.

It was reported that a 10-year-old boy was injured and was sent to the hospital in an ambulance for further treatment.
