Flamengo have made a move for Mario Balotelli.
The former Manchester City and AC Milan striker is a free agent after coming off contract at Olympique Marseille earlier this summer.
Balotelli has failed to find himself a new club, but Flamengo could offer him a route to Brazil.
Sky Italia says Fla are in contact with the player's agent Mino Raiola about a deal.
However, Balotelli, now 28, could yet stay in Europe with Hellas Verona also in contact.
