Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload dipped slightly to 360 Thursday from 369 the day earlier.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the number of infections are expected to continue increasing due to a high positivity rate.

“The positivity rate is still high, which is 13.18 per cent out of 3,027 test samples.

The day earlier, the positivity rate was 13.32 per cent out of 3,034 test samples.

“This means that the caseload will remain high,” he said in a statement, Thursday.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 117 cases, followed by Sandakan (39), Tawau (39), Tuaran (35), Papar (26), Putatan (25), Penampang (15), Keningau (10) and Lahad Datu (10).

“Seven districts did not record any new cases,” he added.

Masidi said 354 out of 360 cases were category one and two infections, while two were in category three and four were in category four.

No deaths or new clusters were identified.
