PENAMPANG: Holy Nativity Church Terawi in Penampang welcomed five Lion dance troupes after the last Mass on Sunday morning.

The event marked the second consecutive year that the church hosted a lion dance performance.

He pointed that it is important to embrace such cultural festivities, especially since many parishioners are of Chinese descent.

The lion dance performance coincided with the church’s bazaar, where more than 36 stalls offered a variety of food items, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the attendees.

The organising committee hosted a children’s Chinese New Year fashion show as part of the day’s festivities, further enriching the celebratory spirit of the occasion.
