
MANILA, Philippines — The Cignal Super Spikers stunned the Eya Laure and Sisi Rondina-led Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 25-20, 16-25, 25-19, 25-18, for its second win in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
Despite not having a star-studded roster, Cignal managed to keep its composure against Choco Mucho, one of the country’s most popular volleyball teams.
PVL On Tour MVP Erika Santos led the scoring for the Super Spikers with 18 points on 14 attacks, two blocks and two aces.
Vanie Gandler added 16 points along with eight excellent receptions, while Jacq Acuña chipped in 13 points.
Gel Cayuna orchestrated the plays for the Super Spikers, making 23 excellent sets and adding four points on offense.
“To be honest, we still have a lot of lapses, and we’re working on it, and in our next game,s we will address it. We’re thankful that we achieved this victory,” Cignal head coach Shaq Delos Santos said.
Choco Mucho was led by Rondina who scored 20 points while Lorraine Pecaña and Laure chipped in 12 and 11 points, respectively.
