PVL: Solar Spikers overcome Thunderbelles in 4 sets

MANILA, Philippines — Capital 1 bounced back from a third-set stumble to down ZUS Coffee, 25-17, 25-16, 15-25, 25-19, grabbing its first win in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference at FilOil EcoOil Centre on Tuesday.

ZUS led 17-13 in the fourth set, but Capital 1's Bella Belen sparked a 9-0 run to take control, 21-17.


Shaya Adorador committed a service error, which gave ZUS a free point, but the Solar Spikers quickly responded with a 3-0 rally with Belen and Ysa Jimenez leading the charge, 24-18. 

ZUS middle blocker Thea Gagate struck to keep her team alive, but Chinnie Arroyo's attack error sealed the win for Capital 1, 25-19.


Belen led the scoring with 26 points on 24 attacks and two aces, while Adorador backed her up with 14 markers. 

Jimenez put up 13 points and Pauline Gaston added 10 points. 

Gagate scored 15 points for Zus.
