MANILA, Philippines — The PLDT High Speed Hitters made quick work of the Creamline Cool Smashers, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on a jam-packed Thursday night at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
Savi Davison made a monstrous triple-double performance with 26 points, 11 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions in just three sets to lead PLDT over the 10-time league champion.
Creamline paraded its championship lineup of Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Bernadeth Pons, Michele Gumabao and Jia Morado-De Guzman, who returned to action after three years of absence but was not enough to conquer PLDT.
“To be honest, they were pretty intimidating, seeing them complete, but I’m just happy to have faced that challenge,” Davison said after the game.
Kianna Dy added nine points while Majoy Baron scored six points for PLDT.
The Cool Smashers were led by Pons who scored 13 points and Carlos who chipped in 11 points.
The High Speed Hitters tallied eight blocks in the game while the Cool Smashers only made three.
