Cignal silences Creamline crowd, marches into PVL Finals

MANILA, Philippines — The Cignal Super Spikers shrugged off a heavily pro-Creamline atmosphere to score a convincing 25-13, 13-25, 25-16, 25-16 victory over the Creamline Cool Smashers in the semifinals of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

With the win, Cignal secured a finals berth behind a 2-0 win-loss slate, while Creamline dropped to a do-or-die clash against the Farm Fresh Foxies for the remaining championship seat.

Despite a stumble in the second set, the Super Spikers displayed composure and cohesion, quickly regaining their rhythm. The squad, guided by head coach Shaq Delos Santos, executed a well-prepared game plan and dominated the closing frames to seal the win.

The victory marks Cignal’s first finals appearance since the 2024 Invitational Conference.

Vanie Gandler led the charge with an all-around performance of 24 points, 10 excellent digs, and 10 excellent receptions. Erika Santos and Tin Tiamzon chipped in 14 points apiece, while Rose Doria contributed 10 markers.

Setter Gel Cayuna orchestrated the offense with 29 excellent sets and added six points of her own.

For Creamline, Bernadeth Pons paced the team with 17 points, while Jema Galanza finished with 10 in the losing effort.
