With 14 Bundesliga players, Austria coach Ralf Rangnick named his squad on Monday for their first World Cup since 1998.
The 26-man squad includes Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer and the RB Leipzig trio of Christoph Baumgartner, Xaver Schlager and Nicolas Seiwald, among other known faces from the German top tier.
Real Madrid defender David Alaba will make his World Cup debut at the age of 33 at the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico in June and July.
Top goalscorer Marko Arnautović will also compete in his first World Cup at the age of 37.
"If everyone stays healthy, we'll be very happy, and I believe this squad is capable of great things. We want to go further than we did at Euro 2024. That means we want to advance from the group stage and then at least get through the first knock-out game," Rangnick said.
At Euro 2024 in Germany, Austria reached the last 16, but were eliminated by Turkey.
Austria are in Group J and face Jordan, champions Argentina and Algeria.
