Incoming Manchester United investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering a move for former Celtic transfer guru Lee Congerton.
The INEOS chief and British billionaire is set to secure a 25 percent stake in the Old Trafford club.
Ratcliffe will be buying a portion of the Glazer family's controlling shares in the team, along with shares off the stock exchange.
Per The Telegraph, one of his moves will be to hire a sporting director to replace John Murtaugh.
The names under consideration include Crystal Palace's Dougie Freedman, Milan icon Paolo Maldini, Congerton, and Paul Mitchell.
United will also be appointing a new CEO, with Jean-Claude Blanc likely to take the job being vacated by Richard Arnold.
