MANILA, Philippines — The Creamline Cool Smashers are one win closer to rewriting history with an 11th crown.

Creamline dominated the Cignal Super Spikers in straight sets, 25-22, 25-18, 25-16, in Game 1 of the finals Tuesday night at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

Backed by a roaring home crowd, the Sherwin Meneses-mentored squad—now in its ninth straight All-Filipino Conference finals—flexed its championship pedigree in a clinical sweep of the title-hungry Cignal side.

Jema Galanza led the Cool Smashers with 17 points and 13 excellent receptions.
