
LAHAD DATU: A crocodile measuring more than five feet was caught in a manhole, near a restaurant in Bandar Singgamata, here, on Monday.
Lahad Datu Civil Defence Force (APM) Officer, Captain (PA) Mohd Mahirun Sanaharin, said they received information about the reptile via a phone call from a member of the public at 4.04pm.
He said a team was deployed to the scene and managed to capture the crocodile weighing about 37kg.
“The crocodile was later handed over to the Wildlife Department for further action,” he added.
