The Delhi Police organised a women’s safety awareness programme at the YWCA campus on Ashok Road in New Delhi to spread awareness about women’s safety issues and inform participants about initiatives aimed at making women feel safer, more secure and empowered.

The programme began with a performance by the Delhi Police Music Band, which presented patriotic and motivational songs and created an enthusiastic atmosphere among attendees.

During the awareness session, SI Komal Sharma from the Cyber Police Station, New Delhi, delivered a lecture on cyber safety. The session focused on emerging cyber threats, including digital arrest scams, online financial fraud and measures to protect personal and financial information online. Addressing the gathering, ACP (SPUWAC) Renu Lata and Inspector Adith Lily from the Special Police Unit for Women and Children spoke about women’s safety laws, workplace safety measures, personal security practices and legal protections available to women. The Delhi Police Jan Sampark Vahan also screened awareness videos demonstrating practical safety protocols and preventive measures.
