DHSUD, Pag-IBIG expo to offer 50,000 housing units

PASAY CITY, Philippines — More than 50,000 housing units will be showcased at the second National Housing Expo to be held Oct. 19-20 led by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and Pag-IBIG Fund.

The two-day expo at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City will bring together more than 80 property developers, giving Filipino families a chance to explore housing options and assess their eligibility for home loans in one venue.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling on Sunday said the government-led event seeks to make homeownership more accessible by connecting buyers directly with developers and housing financing services.

“The expo will serve as a housing one-stop shop where buyers can choose from available units and immediately seek an assessment from Pag-IBIG Fund,” Aliling said, citing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to bring housing services closer to Filipinos.

Visitors can explore participating developers’ housing projects and obtain on-site assistance from Pag-IBIG Fund to determine their housing loan eligibility and borrowing capacity.

The initiative supports the administration’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program, which aims to widen access to affordable housing.
