Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner of Ambala division, on Sunday conducted a surprise inspection of works related to flood protection and Shivalik Development Board in Chhachhrauli, Vyaspur and Sadhaura blocks in Yamunanagar district.
Earlier, he prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the area by paying obeisance at the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in Basatiyanwala village. Vyaspur SDM Jaspal Singh Gill welcomed him on his arrival at the temple.
At Lalhari Kalan village of Chhachhrauli block, the Divisional Commissioner laid the foundation stone of a Community Centre hall to be built at a cost of Rs 65 lakh.
During the inspection, he observed construction works of underground pipeline and pump house at Malikpur Bangar village.
He also inspected flood protection works at Khannuwala, Chintpur, Tihano, Bhamanauli and Kotda Kahansingh villages.
The Divisional Commissioner also listened to the problems of the people in Slempur Khadar, Ledi and Tihano villages and directed the officials concerned to solve their problems soon.
“The Haryana Government is pursuing development works equally in all areas of the state. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is constantly striving for the state’s all-round development and the government is working tirelessly to ensure that farmers and the general public face no difficulties,” said Sanjeev Verma.
He said the Haryana Government was continuously working to develop villages and provide better facilities to villagers. “The construction of a community centre hall will provide better facilities for the villagers to organise social and cultural events,” said Sanjeev Verma.
On the occasion, SDM Chhachhrauli Rohit Kumar, SDM Vyaspur Jaspal Singh Gill, District Revenue Officer Tarun Sahota, BDPO Shyam Lal and were among others who were also present.
