Kota Kinabalu: A 44-year-old man died at the scene after the Toyota Hilux he was driving crashed into seven other vehicles at the Jalan Kolam traffic lights here at about 6am on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Arizal Wahid, whose address was listed in Bongawan.
He was believed to have lost control of the Hilux while travelling towards City Mall from Bundusan, causing the vehicle to veer into oncoming and adjacent traffic.
The Hilux collided with a Ford Ranger, a Perodua Myvi, a motorcycle, a Nissan Navara, two Proton Saga sedans and a Perodua Kelisa, bringing the total number of vehicles involved to eight.
