The district police organised a “Bada Khana” programme in which officers and employees, along with their family members, shared a lunch together. The event was held to promote unity, improve coordination and help police personnel relieve work-related stress.

The programme was attended by Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai, Deputy Commissioner Sona Thind, Ropar Range DIG Nanak Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shubham Aggarwal, the District and Sessions Judge, ADC (G) Pooja Sayal, doctors and members of the District Bar Association.

The SSP said police personnel often work under pressure and face many challenges while performing their duties and such programmes give them a chance to spend time together in a relaxed atmosphere. He said when police personnel interact outside their regular work environment it ensures better coordination among them, leads to effective policing and strengthens mutual trust.

The MLA added that the participation of the family members also boosts the morale of police personnel and helps create a supportive environment.
