MANILA, Philippines — The FEU Lady Tamaraws finally got a win run going in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament after denying the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 25-17, 25-17, 26-24, at the Araneta Coliseum Wednesday.
FEU unleashed a 9-2 finishing kick to battle back from a 17-22 third-set deficit and win the match, with Lovely Lopez delivering the last two kills.
Lopez finished with eight points while Gerzel Petallo displayed all-game brilliance with nine points, 11 digs, and 13 receptions for FEU which improved to 3-2, fourth in the standings.
Zel Tsunashima tallied 11 points, four digs, and three receptions to pace Ateneo, which dropped to 0-5 and shared the bottom place with the also 0-5 UE Lady Warriors.
