KENINGAU: A fire destroyed three semi-permanent houses and partially damaged another at Kg. Lingkudau on Tuesday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 8:26am and arrived four minutes later.
The blaze, involving houses measuring between 30’x60’ and 60’x80’, was brought under control by 9:01am and fully extinguished by 11:57am.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters used two hose lines with water from both the fire engine and a nearby hydrant.
A total of 12 personnel from Keningau Fire Station, assisted by other agencies including SESB, police, UPPM, and Welfare Department, were involved in the operation.
