LAHAD DATU: Four people were injured in a three-vehicle collision along Jalan Markas Bridged Esscom, near the 13th Infantry Brigade headquarters, early Thursday.
The midnight incident involved a Toyota Vios, a Proton Saga BLM, and a Proton Wira carrying three men and one woman.
Passers-by managed to extricate all four victims before the arrival of eight personnel from the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station, who were alerted at 12.21 am.
Two of the injured were transported to the hospital by members of the public, while the remaining two were ferried by a Health Ministry ambulance before the operation concluded at 12.45 am.
