MANILA, Philippines — A few days after declaring for the WNBA draft, Vanessa de Jesus was not picked among the 45 players in the selection.
Over the weekend, De Jesus, who is playing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the NCAA, declared that she will be at the draft.
Azzi Fudd of the University of Connecticut Huskies was selected first overall by the Dallas Wings.
The draft also featured two new WNBA teams: the Portland Fire and the Toronto Tempo.
