Former Brazil midfielder Gilberto Silva expects Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo to make an impact with Portugal at the World Cup.
Gilberto recognises Ronaldo may enter the tournament underdone given his club struggles.
But he told O Jogo: "Quality players know how to find ways to stay in shape.
"Cristiano is a high-performance player, who is always looking for excellence, for him it is his last chance to play in a World Cup, and he doesn't want to be left out.
"There are, of course, other factors that imply he doesn't play as much. It is also a responsibility for the coach, it is a complex situation, but I believe that Cristiano will, for sure, be part of the team."
