Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Women’s Advisory Council (MPWS) and the Sabah Women’s Affairs Department (Jhewa) have forged a strategic partnership with North Borneo University (NBU) to offer Master’s degree opportunities to 15 women leaders.
The high-impact collaboration focuses on enhancing academic and professional empowerment for selected participants of the Global Leadership for Outstanding Women (Glow) initiative across the leadership, economy, and education clusters.
Speaking during an official working visit to NBU, MPWS deputy chairman Datuk Fauziah Abu Bakar Titingan said the study offer specifically targets Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes tailored for potential female leaders.
She said the initiative forms part of the phased MPWS Glow empowerment plan launched last year, with candidates undergoing rigorous screening and comprehensive leadership mentoring to boost professional competency in the State.
NBU top management, led by Vice-President I and Chief Executive Officer Assoc Prof Doretty R Jiroh, welcomed the delegation and expressed readiness to implement the tailored program through blended learning, Apel pathways, and MQA recognition.
