THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Saturday that the southwest monsoon, or habagat, is affecting Luzon and the Visayas.
In its early morning weather bulletin, the weather bureau said that the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Metro Manila, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Antique, Iloilo and Guimaras, while the rest of Luzon and Visayas are forecast to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao Region had cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the intertropical convergence zone.
The rest of Mindanao had localized thunderstorms.
This weather bulletin followed the departures of storms Francisco and Gardo from the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday and Friday.
