Haryana Chief Minister (CM) Nayab Singh Saini assured justice and full support to the family of vegetable vendor Sanjay Saini, who was allegedly beaten to death over a minor dispute of Rs 10 in Budhakhera colony, at the outskirts of Karnal on Tuesday night.
In the presence of local MLA Jagmohan Anand, the bereaved family members met the CM and sought strict action against the accused.
The family members handed over a memorandum to press their demands, while the community members and locals demanded financial help from the CM for the family, as Sanjay was the lone breadwinner.
Anand said the CM assured all kinds of help to the family members. He also said that one accused has already been arrested in this case.
Later, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta reached the residence of the deceased to express condolences. She also assured the family that every possible help would be extended to them during this difficult time.
