Deputy Commissioner Aparajita has directed officials of the Education Department to increase student enrolment in government schools across the district and ensure that no child is deprived of education or drops out of school. She also instructed officials to make all necessary arrangements in schools before the commencement of the new academic session in July.

While chairing a review meeting of various education schemes at her office in the Mini Secretariat on Thursday, she said that 89,238 students are currently studying in 594 government schools in Kaithal district. She emphasised the need to boost admissions during July and ensure regular monitoring of schools.

She instructed officials to complete all preparations before schools reopen, including maintenance of laboratories, cleanliness of school premises, proper upkeep of playgrounds, and adequate arrangements for toilets and drinking water facilities. She also directed officers to conduct regular inspections of schools.

Aparajita further asked education officials to prepare detailed reports on students who have excelled in academics, sports, and other co-curricular activities. Comparative reports of achievements from the previous and current years should also be compiled. She stressed that students who have brought laurels to the state should be recognised and honoured.

The DC also directed the department to prepare comparative reports on admissions, attendance, and out-of-school children for the past three months as well as in comparison with the previous year.

During the meeting, officials informed that seven students from Kaithal district qualified in the IIT-JEE Advanced examination under the Super 100 programme, securing the district the fifth position in Haryana. The successful students include Pratishtha Panchal, Ravi Kumar, Harshdeep, Naveen Kumar, Rahul, Himanshu, and Aman from various government schools of the district.

Officials also highlighted that students of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Keodak, were selected for the Viksit Bharat Buildathon under the guidance of Chemistry PGT Shivani. The school is the only government school from Haryana to achieve this distinction. Students Palak Devi, Pankaj Kumar, Preshit Sharma, Palak, and Tamanna contributed by submitting an innovative idea that led to the school’s selection.

In the state-level Children’s Science Exhibition 2025, Mannat, a Class VI student of Government Middle School, Dohar, secured the third position. A student of Government Girls Senior Secondary School secured the first place in a solo cultural competition, while Government School Shergarh won the second place in the skit category.

She also directed officials to identify and prepare reports on other talented students as well and ensure that they are appropriately honoured for their achievements.
