Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s caseload spiked to 164 Tuesday from 125 the day earlier due to a higher number of test samples.

Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were 55 per cent more samples compared to the day before. However, the positivity rate decreased from 9.65 per cent to 8.52 per cent.

“Except for six districts, all other districts in Sabah recorded new infections. Kota Kinabalu still topped the list with 41 cases, followed by Tawau (28), Sandakan (12), Tuaran (12) and Penampang (11),” he said in a statement, Tuesday.

He said 161 out of 164 cases were category one and two infections, while two were in category three and one in category five. No deaths or new clusters were identified.
