Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload dropped to 153 on Saturday from 171 the day earlier due to a lower number of test samples.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were 1,743 samples on Saturday compared to 1,846 on Friday.

He said the decrease in the caseload was marginal despite the lower number of samples, as the positivity rate increased slightly from 9.37 per cent to 9.52 per cent.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 68 cases, followed by Lahad Datu (12), Kota Marudu (11), Penampang (11), Tawau (11), Tuaran (10), Kota Belud (7), Kudat (4) and Putatan (4).

“Nine districts did not record any new infections, including Sandakan, Sipitang and Tambunan, among others,” said Masidi in a statement, Saturday.
