A meeting of the Executive Committee of the HP Agriculture University Pensioners’ Sabha was held today. During the meeting, members decided to organise an annual convention of the sabha on Tuesday, June 2, at the university auditorium.
Sabha president Dr Surya Prakash Sharma stated that various issues and problems concerning pensioners would be discussed in detail during this convention. He said members would deliberate upon the highly indifferent and discriminatory attitude of the university administration towards pensioners and formulate a future course of action.
He further said pensioners from different districts of the state as well as from outside Himachal Pradesh would also be apprised of the activities undertaken during the last four to five months.
Dr Sharma also stated that the sabha had decided to establish a welfare fund for the benefit of pensioners, and discussions would be held to finalise and approve the procedure for its operation with the cooperation of all members.
