Two illegal structures in an unauthorised colony at Billa village here were demolished during a drive by the office of the district town planner. The structures were demolition in the presence of Narendra Kumar, Sub-Divisional Engineer, Panchayati Raj, Barwala; Assistant Town Planner Ashok Kumar and the heavy police force. Sharing details, District Town Planner Babita Gupta said obtaining a prior approval from the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, was mandatory before undertaking any construction activity or developing a colony.
She said strict legal action would be taken against individuals found carrying out unauthorised construction or developing illegal colonies without the requisite permission. She appealed to the public not to undertake any construction activity without obtaining the change of land use permission and necessary licences.
