The MSF Merdeka 111 Laps Endurance marked a special milestone for Piston Project as they officially introduced their Driver Development Program, with two young drivers, Chloe Lim & Sherwin Yap, making their debut in endurance racing.
Behind the wheel of the Suzuki Swift (#43), Chloe Lim and Sherwin Yap faced one of the toughest challenges in motorsport – maintaining pace, consistency, and stamina throughout more than five hours of racing at the Sepang International Circuit. For their very first endurance race, the pair and crew adapted well under pressure, showing both focus and determination on track.
Despite being newcomers, Chloe and Sherwin successfully completed the race in 8th position in the Super Production category, covering a total of 92 laps. This achievement is a significant result, proving not only their potential but also the effectiveness of Piston Project’s vision to nurture future racing talents.
The Piston Project Development Program aims to provide a platform for young and upcoming drivers to gain valuable racing experience. With Chloe and Sherwin’s promising debut, the team has set the tone for developing a new generation of Malaysian racers ready to compete at higher levels.
For Chloe Lim & Sherwin Yap, their debut at the MSF Merdeka 111 Endurance will be remembered as the first successful step in what could be a long and bright racing career.
