MANILA, Philippines — "I'm definitely running. I'll run for mayor," Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said on Wednesday, confirming he will seek another term as city Mayor and ending speculation over his political plans for the 2028 elections.
The declaration came during a media forum where Isko outlines his administration's priorities, including expanding health services, constructing in-city housing for informal settler families, attracting investments to create jobs, and continuing the digitalization of city government services.
He said his goal is to continue implementing his Minimum Basic Needs (MBN) agenda, which focuses on healthcare, housing, education, and employment for Manileños.
