MANILA, Philippines — Manila Zoo visitors can now enjoy boat rides for a reasonable fee.
The Manila Public Information Office posted the attraction on Facebook on Saturday.
"It is like I am a kid again!" Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso said in Filipino on his Facebook page. His post included a video of him on a boat ride in the park.
He encouraged the public to go boating and meet the zoo's new animals – tiger cubs Apollo and Atlas, and agile gibbon Caesar.
Four people can take a 20-minute boat ride for P120.
"Just one request... let us take care of Manila Zoo. Let us keep it clean and orderly so that more Batang Maynila can have happy memories here," the mayor said.
Manila Zoo turned 67 on July 25.
