MANILA, Philippines — Classes are suspended at all levels in public and private schools on Monday, July 27, the day of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko" Moreno Domagoso announced the suspension.
"According to the mayor, the suspension aims to give Manileños, especially learners and teachers, an opportunity to follow the SONA of the President," the city's public information office said on Facebook.
