
MANILA, Philippines — Decorated setter Jia De Guzman delivered a masterclass performance, orchestrating 20 excellent sets and contributing 10 points to lead Creamline past ZUS Coffee for their second straight win in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
The Cool Smashers overcame a first-set hiccup against the Thunderbelles, 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18, on Tuesday night at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
With De Guzman’s excellent playmaking, three Creamline hitters scored in double digits. Bernadeth Pons led the scoring with 19 points, complemented by 16 excellent digs, while Tots Carlos and Jema Galanza put up 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Former Chery Tiggo libero Jennifer Nierva made 14 excellent receptions. ZUS was led by Chinnie Arroyo’s 18-point output and Thea Gagate’s 11-point effort.
Creamline improved to a 2-1 win-loss record, while ZUS tallied a 1-3 card.
