Kota Kinabalu: The venue for “2024 Jom! Malaysia-China” on Aug 25 has been changed from Padang Merdeka, here, to the Hockey Stadium at Likas Sports Complex.
Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah’s organising committee chairman, Michael Lim said the event had to be relocated due to a concert being held at Padang Merdeka by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) on the same day.
Lim said those who have registered for the event can collect their event packs from the Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah’s office at Iramanis between Aug 16-18 from 8.30am to 4pm.
He pointed out that both the starting point and finish line will be at the Hockey Stadium.

The total value of the lucky draw has increased from last year’s RM40,000 to RM 60,508, with 350 prizes in total.
With this year marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, the event carries extra significance.
The event would start at 6am at the Hockey Stadium and is expected to conclude by 10am.
The entire route covers 7km.
