Rejoice, anime fans! Jujutsu Kaisen is finally back with its third instalment on Crunchyroll. On that note, here are all the details about Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 — from the plot to its episode release schedule.
This action anime series is adapted from the immensely popular Japanese manga of the same name by Gege Akutami. It follows the story of a high-school student, Yuji Itadori, who becomes entangled in a dark, supernatural world after swallowing a cursed relic. The object he ingests is a finger belonging to the ancient demon Sukuna, which draws Yuji into a secret world of jujutsu sorcerers. Alongside them, Yuji sets out to fight curses.
Helmed by Shota Goshozono and produced by MAPPA, season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen adapts the Culling Game arc from Akutami’s manga.
So, when can fans expect new episodes of this anime?

Although MAPPA has yet to confirm the episode count, Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is expected to have a total of 24–26 episodes. Much like the earlier seasons, the third instalment will likely be split into two parts (or “cours”).
The first two episodes of the first cour, titled The Culling Game Part 1, premiered on 8 January 2026 on Crunchyroll. The first cour will likely consist of 12–13 episodes. The remaining episodes of part 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 will then follow a weekly release schedule, with a new episode dropping every Thursday.
No release details are currently available for the second part.

What is the plot of the third season?
The third instalment picks up after the Shibuya incident in season 2, focusing on the highly anticipated Culling Game arc, taking fans deeper into the dark world of curses and sorcery. In this arc, the sinister sorcerer Kenjaku initiates a deadly contest known as the Culling Game, forcing jujutsu sorcerers into gripping, high-stakes battles.
Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is also expected to cover Itadori’s Extermination and the Perfect Preparation.
