Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva paid tributes to India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary at the statue of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru located on the university campus.
Sachdeva said Pandit Nehru’s contribution to nation building, democratic values and higher education continued to inspire future generations. He emphasised that educational institutions must carry forward Nehru’s vision of scientific temper, unity and inclusive development.
On the occasion, Registrar Prof Virender Pal, Prof DS Rana, Prof Jasbir Dhanda, Prof Vivek Chawla, Director Public Relations Prof Maha Singh Poonia, along with university officials and library staff members were present.
