Former Tottenham and Leeds United striker Robbie Keane admits the decision to work with Sam Allardyce was impossible to turn down.

Keane has come in as Allardyce's assistant at Leeds for the remainder of the Premier League season.

While neither have been given any long-term guarantees about their jobs, Keane still believes he has made the right decision in coming in to help save the club's season.

Keane told BBC Sport West Yorkshire: "Sam rang me, I obviously know him personally. We did Soccer Aid many times together, he did the coaching sessions for Harry. We always had a connection, and he always said he'd like to bring me in at some stage.

"So when he called, for me it was a no-brainer. At nine o'clock, I went and dropped the kids off at school and came back and told my wife I was going to Leeds! I forgot to bring her a coffee as well.

Keane added: "I was delighted to get the call from Sam because I feel like I can make an impact."
