Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khanna, Swati Tiwana, has issued directions to the Sub-Registrar, following an investigation into land registries executed on the basis of fake and manual No Objection Certificates (NOCs). The inquiry report has already been forwarded to the Khanna Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
In her letter, the SDM made it clear any land sold or purchased on the basis of such fake or manual NOCs will not be allowed to be resold or registered further. The immediate ban has been imposed to safeguard government records, uphold legal procedures and protect the interests of the public.
The Sub-Registrar has been instructed not to register any new sale deeds or documents related to these disputed lands.
