Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu contingent successfully defended their overall title in the just concluded Sabah School Sports Council (MSSS) archery competition held at SK Sepagaya, Lahad Datu.

“I am thankful to the committee of PMNS and PMDKK for their hard work in assisting all the other district associations.

“I hope they will continue to work closely with Sabah Sports Council, Education Department, Schools and other agencies to widen archery development in the State to make Sabah the powerhouse again and bring back the glory days,” he said.

He also said Syafiq Busthamin, Evan Rich Chong and Quik Chern Xin are the only three Sabahan archers currently in the national team.

Meanwhile, Ram also congratulated the State Para archery team, who won four golds, five silvers and two bronzes to rank first among the eight teams in the recent Allianz-MSN-NAAM 2025 Para Archery Circuit Two competition in Kuala Lumpur.

He added that the Para archers will get to share target butts and faces at the PMDKK’s training field.
