Kota Kinabalu: The marlin landmark at Bulatan Ikan Marlin (Bulatan Todak) will be replaced with a new, bigger and more beautiful version, according to a DBKK officer in charge of the project.

The former iconic statue was carted away and the new one is expected to be completed before Hari Raya. Although the fish species is no longer easily found in Sabah’s west coast waters, the spot is popular among locals and visitors when taking photographs.

AdvertisementThe upgrade is part of DBKK’s efforts to improve several roundabouts in the city centre, including Bulatan Bangau at Jalan Tugu and Bulatan Wisma Perkasa (Bulatan Bunga Raya) at Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens.

DBKK advised road users to be cautious when passing through these areas and to follow traffic signs for safety and smooth traffic flow. For further inquiries, DBKK can be contacted via their official social media accounts or at 012-222 0220.
