What is the KPop Demon Hunters Immersive Gamebox experience?
The new attraction is a 60-minute, team-based game inspired by the Netflix animated film. Players will create their own personalised ‘Superfan’ avatars before stepping into a Seoul-inspired setting and joining HUNTR/X on a mission to protect and restore the Honmoon.
Rumi, Mira and Zoey will guide players through a series of interactive challenges inspired by the film’s music, characters and memorable moments. Derpy, the film’s tiger character, will also appear in the experience. The gameplay centres on teamwork, with participants moving through different activities and working together to defeat demons. Rather than simply watching scenes from the film, players will become part of the action.
The experience uses motion-tracking technology and interactive room features to turn players’ movements into part of the gameplay. Unlike traditional video games, it does not require handheld controllers or bulky virtual reality goggles.
Its key features include:
- 3D motion tracking: Tracks players’ movements as they participate in challenges.
- Projection mapping: Brings visual elements of the game into the physical space.
- Touch-sensitive walls: Allows participants to interact directly with their surroundings.
- Spatial audio: Adds an immersive sound experience inspired by the film.
- Lightweight motion-tracking headwear: Helps track movements without the need for traditional VR goggles.
Together, these features allow groups to move, react and solve challenges as a team, with music and familiar elements from the film incorporated into the experience.
How many players can play the game?
The Immersive Gamebox experience is designed for two to six players, and each session lasts approximately 60 minutes.
The group format makes it suitable for friends and families who want to take part in a shared activity. Immersive Gamebox is also offering special rates for KPop Demon Hunters-themed birthday parties, although specific packages and prices have not been announced.
How much do KPop Demon Hunters Immersive Gamebox tickets cost?
