MANILA, Philippines —- The De La Salle Lady Spikers clinched an outright UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball Finals berth after outlasting the National University Lady Bulldogs, 27-25, 15-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13, to complete a 14-0 elimination round sweep at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday.
A net touch violation on Arah Panique clinched the comeback win for La Salle, which overcame a 1-2 set deficit to secure a direct Finals passage and create a stepladder semifinals for the eventual second to fourth seed teams.
NU is currently second with a 9-4 slate, while Adamson is third with a 9-5 record and UST is fourth with an 8-5 card.
Fifth seed FEU (7-6) is still running for the last semis berth.
