Landing and take-off operations in Butuan Airport temporary suspended

MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has advised the public that flight operations at Butuan Airport were temporarily suspended on Sunday, August 9, 2026, due to a disabled aircraft on the runway.

The suspension resulted in the cancellation of the following flights:

Cebu Pacific

• 5J 786: Butuan–Manila

• 5J 794: Butuan–Manila

• 5J 792: Butuan–Manila

• 5J 788: Butuan–Manila

• 5J 790: Butuan–Manila

Cebgo

• DG 6930: Butuan–Cebu

• DG 6926: Butuan–Cebu

• DG 6924: Butuan–Cebu

Philippine Airlines

• PR 2334: Butuan–Cebu

• PR 2942: Butuan–Manila

• PR 2939: Butuan–Manila

Affected passengers were provided with options by their respective airlines, including rebooking, a refund, or travel fund.

CAAP continues to closely monitor weather developments and airport operations in coordination with government agencies and airline operators, reiterating that the safety of passengers remains its top priority.
