
KUNAK: A 44-year-old lorry driver sustained minor injuries after his palm oil tanker skidded and crashed near the Tingkayu bridge along the Kunak–Lahad Datu road early Tuesday.
Kunak Fire and Rescue chief Mohamad Omarbatha said the emergency call was received at 6:05am, and a team led by PBKI Mohd Ridzuan Sahidun rushed to the scene, about 18km from the station.
The driver, who was trapped, was freed by firefighters and handed over to the Health Ministry ambulance for hospital treatment. The operation ended at 7:45am, with police also present at the site.
